On November 15, 2014 I received the rank of Yon Dan Renshi 4th Degree Black Belt.
Over the course of my training I have competed in numerous tournaments, consistently placing 1st or 2nd.
In 1995 I was ranked number one in the nation for the "Under Rank Senior Men's Forms" division of the Amateur Karate Association.
I achieved a number one ranking again in 2001 in "Senior Men's Hard Forms" with the National Blackbelt League.
I won my first Grand Championship in Men's Forms at the 16th Annual "Battle of Baltimore World Karate Championships".
On July 1, 2001 I was inducted into the "World Karate Union Hall of Fame" as "Instructor of the Year" for Goju Ryu Karate.

These accomplishments are a reflection of Shihan Freeman's teaching and of the high standards he has set at our Dojo as well as by myself.
My hope is to continue my training with Shihan Freeman in the art Goju Ryu Karate-Do, and to bring honor to him, my school, and myself.

I began my martial arts training in 1977 in the Nackord Kenpo System.
In 1982 I trained briefly in Tae Kwon Do.
I have also spent time at the "Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy East" in Phildaelphia where I trained in the Gracie system of Brazilian Jiujitsu.
